These are the systems we take out most often. If yours is on this list, it isn't broken and you didn't do anything wrong. Consumer Wi-Fi is sold on square footage, and square footage isn't what kills a signal. Walls do, floors do, and where the box sits does.

UniFi is the only platform we install. It's what we run in law firms and medical offices across Westchester and the city, and it fits a house just as well. One system for the whole network, no subscription, and no one else's cloud in the middle of it. We don't install anything we wouldn't put in our own homes, and if a different approach fits your house better, we'll say so on the call.
Yes. You can order the same hardware today, and if you're comfortable setting up bridge mode, placing the access points and moving 40 devices over, you don't need us. What you're paying for is the part that isn't in the box. Knowing where the signal dies in a 1920s colonial before anything gets drilled. Undoing whatever the cable company left behind. And being the person you text when something's weird in March.

For offices we offer monthly Managed IT. Home Wi-Fi is different: it's a project install. You get 30 days of support after we finish, then you call when something needs a visit or a remote look. Same craft, no monthly home retainer.
If you want a follow-up visit later, we quote it when you need it. Ask on the call what that usually looks like for a house like yours.
We do the network and the wiring. For a slow laptop, a local computer shop is the right call.
We get on a Google Meet, you tell us what's happening and what you already own, and we ask the questions that matter. Your internet provider, your walls, whether the house has any ethernet in it, how many floors, when you need it done. It costs nothing and there's no pitch at the end.
Most of the time we can price it from the call. If the house is complicated or you'd rather we see it first, we come out. That's $500, and it comes off your project.
Mesh takes 2 to 3 hours. Wired takes one to two days. We label everything, test every room, and clean up after ourselves.
Something odd two weeks later? Text us. After 30 days, more help is per visit. Home Wi-Fi stays a project, not a monthly office-style plan.

Mesh starts at $2,500 for three UniFi Express 7 nodes, hardware and install included. Extra mesh nodes are $450 each, and wiring a node to existing ethernet is $75. Wired UniFi starts at $8,000 and includes the network rack, and most homes land between $8,000 and $13,000 depending on how many access points and cable runs the house needs. Extra access points are $950 each installed and wired. Extra cable runs are $450, or $650 with no access. Keeping your existing system and having us configure it properly starts at $1,800. Cameras added during a wired install start at $800 each. Every price is confirmed on the call before anyone comes out.
Mesh doesn't touch your walls, so it's close to the same job in most houses and usually lands at the starting price. Wired does, and every house is different. A cable run through an open basement takes under an hour. The same run through a finished plaster ceiling with no access can take three. We price the runs once we've talked through the house.

We install what we supply. That's how we can stand behind it for 30 days and swap a bad unit without a debate. Our price includes the hardware, so buying it yourself rarely saves anything.
Usually a few small openings, plus access through the basement or attic. We show you exactly where before we start and photograph every opening. Patching and painting is your painter's work, not ours. Plaster and lath is our normal Tuesday.
Yes. We keep your network name and password unless you want new ones, so devices reconnect on their own. Anything that doesn't, we fix before we leave.
It stays as the modem. We put it in bridge mode so your new system runs the network. One network instead of two, and faster.
